Drop-Off & Pickup

All traffic (with the exception of buses) should enter from the east entrance and exit through the west entrance. Please yield to our school buses and let them exit the parking lot first to ensure they stay on schedule. 

Morning drop-off procedures

Parents/guardians and public daycare vans may drop Oak View Elementary students off at the curb in front of the building at 9:10 a.m. Children are allowed into the building foyer at 9:10 a.m. and released for breakfast at 9:20 a.m. It is your responsibility to supervise your child(ren) if they arrive prior to 9:10 a.m.

If you need to come into the school, please park your car and walk your child across the parking lot to the front entrance using the patrol crosswalk. Patrols are on their post beginning at 9:10 a.m. each day.

Afternoon pickup procedures

When school dismisses at 4 p.m., parents/guardians are required to park and walk across the parking lot to pick up their child(ren) at the school's front entrance. If you park in the short-term parking area/front row, please use caution when backing up; this area is close to the patrol crosswalk and has a lot of traffic at the end of the day. Patrols are on their post starting at 3:55 p.m. each day.
