Why Choose Oak View Elementary
Serving parts of Brooklyn Park, Maple Grove, and Plymouth, Oak View Elementary is the academic home of nearly 460 students in prekindergarten through fifth grade. We are proud to foster a diverse school community in which each student has the opportunity to learn and grow through hands-on learning.
In addition to academic rigor, we build community through annual schoolwide events including our school carnival, Husky Fun Run and Turkey Bingo. Outstanding Oak View Huskies are recognized as Students of the Month at our monthly assemblies.
Personalized support for scholars
Our mission-driven staff works with all scholars to provide appropriate academic support and rigor. From gifted education opportunities to services that support learners with special needs, our educators help each student succeed and lay the foundation for a lifetime of learning.
Staff at Oak View sets clear expectations and provides instruction and support for all students in meeting those expectations. In 2020, Oak View was recognized as a Sustaining Exemplar PBIS School by the Minnesota Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) State Leadership Team. We use the Responsive Classroom and Restorative Practice approaches to emphasize social, emotional and academic growth in a strong and safe school community.
